Khartoum : (KEM) – Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Mutaz Musa has directed the Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries to prepare a clear matrix within a week for the work of slaughterhouses.
During a visit to four slaughterhouse in Omdurman, Musa stressed the government concern with the promotion of slaughterhouses in accordance with the international standards to enable them find access to all international markets, pointing to the country’s strategy to benefit from the added value of Sudanese products.
For his part, The State Minister at the Ministry of Animal Engineer Al-Sadig Fadlallah pledged to remove all the impediments facing slaughterhouses work to enable them to increase their production to contribute to the increase of gross product, pointing to the ministry’s readiness to cooperate with all abattoirs.
The Director of Al-Sabaloga Slaughterhouse reviewed the obstacles facing the slaughterhouse, revealing that it owned the largest meat cooler in the country, referring to its export to a number of Arab countries.
Following the completion of his tour to slaughterhouses, the Prime Minister wrote on his private page on Twitter, expressing his happiness for the efforts exerted in the development of exports of processed meat, optimizing about the achievement of one billion dollars return of processed meat in the near future, expecting the return to jump during a few years to five billion dollars after the completion of the value added chains, stressing that the country is going the right way.
