Khartoum , March 25 ( Kem)—A parliamentary fact-finding committee in recent protests and demonstrations in Sudan will be submitting its final report to the Parliament Speaker in the few coming days , chair of the committee stated Monday.
Head of the National Assembly’s Legislation , Justice and Human Rights Committee , Osman Hassan Nimir stated that the committee was apprised of human and material damage caused by the unrest following inspection tours of Ghedarif , Northern and White Nile states.
The fact-finding mission also involved acts of subversion against public and private institutions in these states , the senior lawmaker said, adding that an inspection tour of the River Nile state is planned by the committee for a similar purpose.
He revealed that the committee has drafted its reports from the legal aspect , losses in life and property and has conferred with the public prosecutor over formation of special prosecutions to enforce the declaration of emergency state.
Nimir concluded that a complete report on recent protests and concomitant acts of vandalism in a number of Sudanese states will be submitted to the Parliament speaker in the next few days.
