Resumption of border trade with Chad and Libya

Khartoum , March 25 (Kem)— The government of North Darfur state resolved resumption of cross-border trade with neighbor states of Chad and Libya , it was announced Monday.

A government session , chaired in Fashir by the state Wali ,General Naiem Khidir Morsal Sunday, ratified  the trade exchange protocol signed recently between the state and its ministry of tradec and industry.

The protocol provides for resumption of activities by border customs posts and facilitation of export and import commodity exchanges in each of Meliet , Kutom , Teenah and Malha markets in addition to the state capital of Al-Fashir.

Spokesman for the state government, Mohamed Abdul Kerim said in press statements that the cabinet session commended the state ministry of trade and industry  for its significant initiatives and praised efforts made by regular forces and the UN-African Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) in securing secondary school certificate examinations, which were concluded earlier this month.
