Sudan and Australia agree to bolster mining cooperation

Sudan and Australia agreed to bolster cooperation in mining sector in Sudan.

“Australia has long experience in organizing the traditional mining followed by Canada and South Africa”, said minister of minerals Hashim Ali Salim following closing of technical workshop in collaboration with Australian experts in Khartoum.

The minister unveiled agreement with Australian companies in both public and private sectors to work in mining sector in Sudan.

For his part, the Director General of Geologies Research Authority of Ministry of Minerals Dr Mohamed Abu Fatima expected arrival of Australian major companies to work in gold sector and minerals manufacturing during the sessions of the third mining forum scheduled end of next march.
