The seven periodic meeting of Foreign Exchange Control Committee chaired by President Al-Bashir Monday underscored need to continue procedures of reducing liquidity to halt cash mass outside the banking system to be employed in productive projects.
“The meeting decided to redeploy Police Forces assigned with Metal protection, organize movement of goods from Sudan to neighboring countries and further take deterrent measures against smugglers”, state minister of finance said in statements following the meeting.
Abdullrahman Dirar added the meeting discussed ways to determine the size of gold in the country and guarantee purchase by the Central Bank of Sudan CBOS. “Any company violates procedures set by ministry of metals, CBOS and the competent authorities must be denied license”, Dirar underlined.
He noted that al-Bashir has ordered circular to all concerned authorities to facilitate and ease movement of tourists within the country for the profit that goes to the national economy.
