10th Extraordinary Session of the Assembly on AfCFTA began today in Rwandan capital Kigali where the Sudan takes part in with a delegation headed by the President of the Republic Omer al Bashir.
Rwandan President Paul Kagame, who is also the Chairperson of the African Union addressed the Opening of the African Continent Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), where he welcomed heads of States and Governments who take part in the summit, particularly President of South Africa who takes part for the first time following the former President of SA Jacob Zoma.
Rwandan President said that the historical summit will sign the AfCFTA Agreement and Protocols as a follow-up to the January 2018 Assembly decision to hold an Extra-Ordinary Summit.
For his part, AUC Chairperson Musa Faki Mohammed said that this summit represents a real beginning of economic integration between African countries, explaining that this initiative may realizes Aspirations of the African continent peoples.
